"Give Me Some Men Who Are Stout Hearted Men"

At it again...all for you.

A Magnificently Methodical Southern Woman
and The Most Brilliant Woman in the World

Give me some men who are stout-hearted men
Who will fight for the right they adore.
Start me with ten who are stout-hearted men,
And I'll soon give you ten thousand more.
Oh, shoulder to shoulder, and bolder and bolder
They grow as they go to the fore.
Then there's nothing in the world can halt or mar a plan
When stout-hearted men can stick together man to man.

You who have dreams
If you act, they will come true
To turn your dream to a fact
It's up to you
If you have the soul and the spirit
Never fear it, you'll see it through.
Hearts can inspire other hearts with their fire.
For the strong obey when a strong man shows them the way.

Insurrection, Peaceable Assembly, and Provocateurs

At it again...all for you.

A Magnificently Methodical Southern Woman
and The Most Brilliant Woman in the World

January 6, 2021, was not an insurrection because insurrections involve massive firepower and other weapons wielded by those trained and prepared to take over a government.

Insurrections never have a huge crowd standing around peaceably and begging for government leaders to do the right thing and then who go home at the end of the day. That's not how insurrections work. That's not even how they start.

“Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.”

Yet the opposite of this is being pushed right now by certain politicians, corporations, and other groups not knowing, or at least unwilling to know, that what they are fomenting to make happen — dictatorship-like suppression of information and punishment of those who disagree with them — will blow up in their faces in the long run.

There are a lot of videos that show the entire story from Jan 6. The assembly of peaceful citizens exercising their Constitutional right was infiltrated by several small groups of organized provocateurs. There were peaceful citizens who put themselves between those provocateurs and the police to protect the police, backing the agents of mayhem away. I watched these videos. Peaceful citizens exercising their Constitutional right to peaceful assembly pulled down agents and would not let them destroy the Capital. Other peaceful citizens stood in front of broken windows and would not allow anyone in and threw themselves on top of others to protect them from being attacked by the provocateurs.

Insurrectionists don't care who gets hurt or killed and they never try to protect the building into which they are trying to get until after getting in it and killing those inside.

But none of those is shown by the MSM.

Peaceable assembly to protest is our right as Citizens. It is what keeps the powers of government in check. What is it they say: Absolute power corrupts absolutely. The framers knew this and put in the Constitution that check on tyranny.

When peaceable assemblies are invaded by provocateurs, they do so with the sole aim of looking like the crowd in which they are mixed so as to confuse people who do not understand about those things. It's an old trick used throughout the millenniums because it works [just look at the hijacking of peaceable assembly to redress grievances all during this year across the US].

Such rabble-rousing tactics only work for awhile because those methods of ruling are not sustainable. While they present a public face of solidarity and kumbaya, these groups actually have nothing much in common and are working at cross purposes. They don't trust each other. Even within their own small groups, there is too much infighting. Infighting keeps them from growing strong for the long haul.

Dear NRA: Compromise does not look good on you.

by Angela K. Durden
The Most Brilliant Woman in the World
Business writer.  Songwriter.  Protecting creator's copyrights.

[THIS IS A COPY OF THE LETTER I SENT TO THE NRA THROUGH THE USPS.]

Dear NRA,

Received today in my mailbox was your envelope marked “Time Sensitive — For Addressee Only, REGISTERED DOCUMENTS.” I was intrigued as I’d never before received such from you. The letter opened with a bang, if you’ll pardon the pun:

And right now, hundreds of gun-hating politicians, judges, and media elites are doing everything in their power to destroy your freedoms.

I read further and found the 2019 National Gun Owner’s Action Survey which moved me along nicely to send money to join your association. However, I’ve never been one to simply be led without thinking things through and investigating. Those natural tendencies have come in handy in my self-appointed profession as Citizen Journalist.

Therefore, let me take a few moments to cover a few points that may be beneficial to the NRA, an organization, by the way, that I had a good opinion of until I got this packet. The points are here, order not to determine importance.

1.
The survey. Whoever wrote it really screwed over your intent with the very first question. Let’s review: Do you agree that the Second Amendment guarantees your individual right to own a firearm? I quickly marked Yes on the survey, but then took a closer look at the language, namely, “a firearm”. “A” implies one firearm. So, naturally, I would have to mark No because I do not want my quantity to be limited by government.

2.
The survey. The sixth question. To wit: Do you support legislation that would compel law-abiding gun owners to undergo a federal background check every single time they purchase a box of ammunition? On its face the question seems logical and supportive of freedom, when in actual fact it invites more government control. Let’s think it through, shall we? Who determines who is a law-abiding gun owner? What database will be built, kept, and accessed by whom and when in order to say “You, sir, are law abiding and may now purchase ammo”? My answer had to change from Yes to No. So, because of unclear language, the NRA has screwed over citizens.

3.
The Survey. The tenth question. Thusly: Will you authorize NRA to use your survey answers to fight for your fundamental right to own a firearm for shooting, hunting and personal protection? Never mind that the question is missing a comma that made it read incomplete; don’t even think about that. The worst part of the question is you want responders to authorize NRA to use their survey answers, but you never say how the NRA will use them nor do you define the limits on how you will use those. For instance, if I had answered Yes, I could be signing away the right to use my name in settings or manners I may not agree with because, truly, what does “fight for your fundamental right” mean to the NRA?

4.
The survey. Last question. Will you fight for your freedom by renewing your commitment to NRA today? This implies I am not fighting for freedom. It also implies the only way to fight for freedom is by letting the NRA fight the battle for me. And, since I am not a member of the NRA, how can I renew a commitment I don’t have?

5.
The letter states NRA is the one organization dedicated to defending your Right to Keep and Bear Arms at the federal level and in your state’s legislature. Says you; but how do I know this?

6.
The letter states Now is the time to DRAW A LINE IN THE SAND… Well, thank you, NRA, but I prefer to chip a hard line in cement instead of a soft line in a movable soft object. Honestly, whoever wrote this part should be fired. It made the NRA look weak.

7.
The packet, letter, survey. Every one of them was trackable. So, my question is this: How do you know I am a gun owner? From whom did you get this information? The government?!? I want to know.

I’ve returned your survey along with this letter, but I’m not joining the NRA. Your efforts are not unappreciated, but your methods are a bit wonky for me. Let me be clearer. Compromise does not look good on you.

Sincerely,

You’ve got my information already.

Emboldened to further atrocities.

At it again...all for you.

by Angela K. Durden
The Most Brilliant Woman in the World

A friend asked me how has Brett Kavanaugh, Supreme Court nominee, been denied due process of law. She said that he was allowed his opportunity to testify, and even that the Republicans hired a professional to cross examine his accuser, Christine Blasey Ford. Further, said my friend, the Republican Senators got to cross examine the accuser, so how was it that he was denied due process of law?

My friend, Lorelei (not her real name), then went on to prove how that was done when she made the point that Ford's word was golden and should be believed because the woman said so. From Lorelei:

"...this was an alleged sexual assault...was not a teenage boy being accused of high school shenanigans. How is that unclear? What is unclear about this woman’s account of an unwanted, terrifying experience? Again, how can YOU be so dismissive? What is unclear about this woman’s account of an unwanted, terrifying experience. Again, how can YOU be so dismissive?"

Well, Lorelei, it's like this:

Judge Brett Kavanaugh,
from Wikipedia.org
Due process of law was denied Kavanaugh because he was accused, tried, and convicted in the court of public opinion with absolutely no evidence presented whatsoever — other than a vague memory — that no law enforcement agency could investigate.

The Deep State was calling for his head and make no mistake about it. But please understand, Lorelei, that this was not about women's rights — or patriarchy run amuck. I make no claim as to the veracity of Ford's experience or Kavanaugh's claim of innocence. I have opinions about those based on available evidence.

One: Ford is extremely vague in her innuendo of her experience.

Two: Kavanaugh has been investigated by the FBI six times and never once have they ever turned up any evidence he was a drunken serial sexual pervert or took part in "rape trains".

No, no, no. This confirmation hearing circus is just another battle to destroy Constitutional rights and the protections it affords to all of our freedom. This goal — to deny citizens basic freedom and protection under a set of due processes so all are equal under the law — has been buried under the guise of Political Correctness since the 1960s.

There was no evidence presented that could even be investigated. Kavanaugh was damned from the get-go, his family attacked, his reputation smeared for one reason only: So that freedom can be deprived the general citizenry.

I tell you what, Lorelei, if what happened to Brett Kavanaugh should happen to you, you better be glad there are people like me who will stand up for your right to due process of law. Without that due process vigorously defended, a nation is nothing but a dictatorship in the making, and we will all see ourselves or loved ones being buried in mass graves that future generations will excavate to prove crimes against humanity.

Christine Blasey Ford
from Wikipedia.org
Hitler started with small encroachments against freedom as did Stalin, Pol Pot, and many others. When those were accepted, or when goodhearted people tried to "go along to get along" hoping that would be the last of the conciliations and they could get on with their lives, evil people were emboldened to further atrocities. Do I even have to mention the 11.5 million killed by Hitler's machine? Do I?

What we see here with Kavanaugh is another emboldened step to deprive you, Lorelei — yes, YOU! — of freedom. I see that.

It is my hope that you will, too.

Lorelei's assumptions about my motivations are incorrect.

Lorelei assumed I was dismissive of Ford's accusation specifically, and all female victims generally, because I was too dense to understand the real pain and anguish victims go through. Obviously, Lorelei has forgotten my history of being a sexual assault victim for years by my stepfather and his friends, and not being protected by my mother, otherwise Lorelei would not have said that.

But, you see, Lorelei is just being a silly dupe used and manipulated by the Deep State — and the Deep State didn't even have to pay her or send her the talking points. All the Deep State had to do was say they care about women and BOOM!, Lorelei's emotions rule her life.

But emotions are not to be trusted.
Just ask any Las Vegas wedding chapel.

With advocates like this, who needs enemies?

At it again...all for you.

by Angela K. Durden
The Most Brilliant Woman in the World

I'm going on record here, now, as I live and breathe, to say that if I had to choose between Benjamin Wittes and Brett Kavanaugh to walk down a dark street with in the middle of the night in Chicago in 1929 just as the Valentine's Day massacre was breaking out, it would not be Wittes.

It is clear that Wittes is not a fighter.

We know this because he, a bigwig in Harvard's law circles, wrote in The Atlantic's article "Kavanaugh Bears the Burden of Proof — The question isn’t whether he can win confirmation — it’s whether he can defend against the charge he faces in a manner that is both persuasive and honorable."

That's right. Ben wants Brett to withdraw his nomination because why? Because while Ben does not believe Brett did anything like what he is being accused of, he believes Brett should realize the woman's accusations have merit and he should just go somewhere else and quietly say, "I'm innocent."

Could we rightly say that Benjamin Wittes has a pussy-hat yellow streak up his spine and that he obviously hates the Constitution?

I believe we can.

Wittes does not understand Evil. Evil knows no rules and does not respect rule of law. Wittes recommending caving to Evil as the way to protect a process designed to protect the accused is beyond stupid.

Mr. Wittes, "guilty until proven innocent" is not the order of the day and is not how our court system is supposed to operate. If you do not understand that, then you should just quit the profession now because you would not be a good advocate for an innocent person or the rule of law.

The American Sheepdog: The Deep State's worst enemy.

At it again...all for you.

by Angela K. Durden
The Most Brilliant Woman in the World
Business writer.  Songwriter.  Protecting creator's copyrights.

Scrolling through Bacefook the other day I came upon an inline ad for Seattle Police clothing.

The idea for it was great. Police are the sheepdogs that live for the day the Bad Guy wolf comes to hurt People sheep. I get it. But the language was incorrect. It said:

"The sheep pretend the wolf will never come." But sheep never pretend. Sheep don't know there is a wolf.

The difference is huge, not that it makes the sheepdog's job any more difficult because the sheepdog still has to keep a wary eye roving in all directions and has to herd sheep that just want to graze and who get all mad and stuff when they are interrupted.

Don't mistake what I am saying. I'm not saying that "sheep" are stupid. Okay. Maybe I am because some are, so let me rephrase and say what I really mean:

I'm not saying that "sheep" are bad people, because they mostly aren't. But I am saying that their inability to understand Evil, and/or unwillingness to acknowledge Evil exists, makes them easy targets to dupe.

Good grief, all you have to do is scroll through Bacefook for ten minutes to see duped sheep self-identifying fairly leaping from the screen shouting "Love is all we need. NOT GUNS!" and "The sheepdog is the wolf!"

We know this because of the willingness of these sheep to ignore the Rule of Established Law and sacrifice the Constitution on the altar to The RadFem's God of Political Correctness.

No jest.
Seriously.

The United States, and the rest of the free world that depends upon them for strength, is undergoing the biggest threat to freedom that it has been seen since the Civil War. There is a coup going on led by the very Deep State that Ms. Whoop-Whoop-Whoopi and other media types laughed about and said didn't exist but that was acknowledged in print here and here, for two examples.

One woman on The View who denied the Deep State asked, "Hey, if the Deep State were real, would Trump be president now?"

Well, honey, let me answer that for you —

Yes! And here's why —

Because the Deep State is a lot like Hitler.

You see, Hitler believed his own press' headlines that called him the greatest, smartest, most wonderful thing since bread began to be perfectly sliced by mechanical means. Since Hitler believed his own press, he failed to plan properly and did not take into account outside forces nor ascribe proper weight to them when he could no longer ignore them. We know what happened to Hitler.

What got Trump elected? The outside forces of all the people the Deep State thought had no power. That's right, American "sheepdogs".

The Deep State and its schutzstaffel handmaidens believe there are only stupid sheep and super-smart wolves. The Deep State forgets about all the sheepdogs out there who will always win because of their ability to recognize wolves and have the tenacity to fight them.

Trump got elected because American Sheepdogs recognized a fellow protector who was willing to fight the wolf.

Just like Hitler who threw everything he had at his enemies after it was too late, the Deep State is doing the same with this false accusation against Brett Kavanaugh by Christine Blasey Ford.

Do you care for freedom?
Do you want freedom to remain?
Can you recognize threats to freedom when you see them?
Are you willing to step up to protect freedom even for stupid people?

Look, while the Deep-State sponsored coup against the Constitution is in trouble, the battle is not over. Now is not the time to rest. It is time to keep hammering home the message that wolves might huff and puff and growl and snarl, but threats will not get them much more.

Get your sheepdog on and keep it on.

Gutting the Constitution: The Myth of Net Neutrality.

by Angela K. Durden
Technology inventor protecting creator's copyrights. Business writer, novelist, songwriter, and Citizen Journalist.

Remember all the Net Neutrality hype?

Remember when former US President Obama started pushing the concept of a free and open Internet as if it weren't already free and open?

And you remember when the details of it were made known that it mostly amounted to another way for the government to control the Internet by controlling the companies providing connections to our homes?

And you remember Obama wanted to classify providers as Public Utility Companies?

And you remember how Google and other tech giants applauded the legislation and thought Obama was just the best thing since sliced bread?

Well, maybe you don't remember. But that's okay.

Because your Citizen Journalist is here to remind you of it. And why should she be reminding you of it now? Because Donald "The Hammer" Trump is getting ready to yet again rescind an Obama ruling.

This has given Mainstream Media opportunity to write articles bashing Trump, Tech Giants reason to worry, and many on Facebook and Twitter who have no clue to pass around links to online petitions to keep giving them free Internet.

When Obama classified broadband providers as utilities, he then put those under the control of Big Government. Clinton fell for the same thing when he signed into being the Digital Millennium Copyright Act, or DMCA, that was out of date and completely useless one day after it was signed.

I'm all for law and order, but many are useless because of the way they are worded. Think about it. The DMCA and Net Neutrality are just versions of the old laws that say silly things like —

"It is illegal to walk your crocodile without a leash along Main Street during a full moon while your ex-wife is visiting her mother to attend her father's funeral."

Alright, there is no law that goes that far, but there are laws about walking your crocodile, and the DMCA and Net Neutrality did write their rules over the top like that making them completely useless and punishing, so you get my drift.

You might be asking, "Yes, Angela, but we want to be able to keep the Internet free and open to all. What if a website wants to be on the Internet but the broadband company says they can't be on it? I mean, really, Angela, isn't that just wrong?"

Maybe. Maybe not.

What does one mean by free?

Free, as in the right to publish what one wants? Or free, as in not paying for it? The first already has the Constitution governing that freedom. The latter is pie-in-the-sky thinking as nothing comes with no cost.

The US Government and Tech Giants are working hand-in-hand to limit Constitutional-guaranteed freedoms. Net Neutrality is simply another way they are doing it.

By controlling the companies who bring connections to your house, the government has put themselves in control of your Internet access. That means, politicians can shut it down whenever they want to.

Tech Giants, playing the victim here, push messaging such as this one from Google, a message that many other tech giants agree with:

“Our values remain the same: The Internet should be competitive and open. That means no Internet access provider should block or degrade Internet traffic, nor should they sell ‘fast lanes’ that prioritize particular Internet services over others. These rules should apply regardless of whether you’re accessing the Internet using a cable connection, a wireless service, or any other technology.”

Let's break down this self-serving statement, shall we?

What companies are the worst offenders when it comes to selling "'fast lanes' that prioritize particular Internet services"?

First on the list would be Goo-Goo-Goo...that's right. You've almost got the whole word out of your mouth. That company has formed a parent company called Alphabet that is working even harder behind the scenes to control what you see and when you see it.

How about Fakebook, as many popularly call that social media giant these days? Or Twitter or any of those other social media platforms you like so well?

Yes, they too control access within their silos and try their damnedest to keep you on their site by making big promises of your ability to freely sharing information — then breaking each one and every one once they've got you hooked.

Does Twitter's shadow banning sound familiar?

Or how about Facebook limiting how many friends you can have, how many can see your posts in their feed, or severely limiting how many friends you can tell about events you're putting on?

Or Google's pushing of meaningless HTTPS certifications on all websites no matter what? Or not allowing AdWords to be used by a company working hard to protect intellectual property rights? Or favoring certain news sources to always show up in searches and all other news sources to show up on page 134,567.

You're access to the Internet has always been controlled.

Nothing is free. There is a cost to building the infrastructure. Do you know there are people who do not know that the Internet comes through a wire to their house? They think because they have Wi-fi that somehow those bits and bytes magically appear. They think that satellite magically delivers it.

Hello! Everything is hard-wired somewhere. Satellite dishes in yards pick up signals and the wire brings it inside your house to a piece of hardware that connects to your computer and/or phone.

And you pay monthly for having the convenience of that service delivered to your home. Stop paying the bill and you stop getting the service.

For Tech Giants to act like their growth was not and is not dependent on you paying your monthly bill for access to the Internet is just stupid.

But even Tech Giants are seeing the writing on the wall.

Why else does Goo-Goo-Goo spend massive amounts of money to make robo calls and send snail mail to small businesses about advertising with them? Just remember what this is all about: Keeping you from freedom.

"Guns for me, none for thee" say Politically Correct Liberal Socialist Democratic RINO Commie Fascists

by Angela K. Durden
Technology inventor protecting creator's copyrights. Business writer, novelist, songwriter, and Citizen Journalist.

Bodyguards carrying guns — eek! — aren't just for leaders of countries who by default are targets of assassins whether they be wannabees or for real. Nobody blinks an eye about that. Obama had armed protection and you never heard him complain about it even as he was preaching for sanctions limiting the rights of the citizenry to protect themselves.

"Guns for me, none for thee."

To a person, Constitution-gutting Politically Correct Liberal Socialist Democratic RINO Commie Fascist leaders want you to be deprived of the very thing that was used to defend the freedoms they so rely upon. To make that happen, those leaders have employed thought control techniques on walking brain-dead dupes and knowing accomplices such as:

  • hosts of late-night comedy shows,
  • hosts of talk shows in every time slot,
  • children of now-dead but famous singers/actors,
  • listed Hollywood elites including those on lists A through Eff-U,
  • #CrunkNewsNetwork and other no-longer-trusted mainstream media outlets,
  • publishers, editors, and writers for newspapers and business and popular magazines,
  • hired-gun talking heads,
  • retirees from the above categories seeking free column inches,
  • founders of social media companies,
  • Tech Giants, The Majors, and The Bigs,
  • the "If I had a son" last past president,
  • university leadership teams,
  • pussy-hat wearers,
  • wuss male supporters of pussy-hat wearers,
  • anyone who self-identifies as a marginalized person,
  • among others.

Yes, boys and girls, they all believe the same thing —

Put power in the hands of The Enlightened, they preach.

Except the definition of who is one of The Enlightened is so broad the country is quickly harking back to the days of English kings and queens and all their power-grabber ancestral lines going backward and forward in time who saw opportunity in the vacuum to grab all the power for themselves.

Nature and people abhor a vacuum and the filling of it is never a pretty thing to start with. But how did these power grabbers grab power? They used force on a population that thought they were kings of their own castles and lords of their tiny plots of land and — this is important, so listen up — never thought to put defenses in place.

Eventually, some said enough is enough and came to a new land, founded a federal government they envisioned as having limited power, with states having much autonomy, and what power the Feds would have would be simply to have mutually beneficial services and defense from enemies.

Yes, we know the founding of the country was messy, bloody, full of drama, and never perfect. But...

But there came a time when the people who lived on this continent said, "You know. We're all having to share this space. Let us put rules down about that sharing."

The Declaration of Independence put the kings on notice in 1776. They hit back with attacks. Local folks defended themselves. The Constitution was ratified in 1789 putting everybody within the country's borders on notice that should the government get out of hand again, they had a right to defend themselves against it.

Thus the Second Amendment was written in this fashion:
A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.

The right of regular folks to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed even by a well-regulated government-sponsored force that is also necessary to defend the security of a free State.

Protecting and defending the Constitution of the United States is something we all must do.

by Angela K. Durden
Technology inventor protecting creator's copyrights. Business writer, novelist, songwriter, and Citizen Journalist.

Aren't you just loving the new wrappers on Snickers bars? I am.

More sponsorship deals are being lost by kneeling NFL players. From car dealerships to beverage distributors, companies are chosing not to put their money where they feel they are not being best represented.

On the other hand, USAA is continuing sponsorship saying they are doing it as a way to show appreciation for the military. Joining them in continuing sponsorship are Under Armor, Ford, Nike, Hyundai, Anheuser-Busch InBev, and Bose.

Stand or kneel. Sponsor or not.
In each instance, everyone is right.

Ladies and gentlemen, that is why the health of the Constitution of the United States is so vital. It is why the world comes to the U.S. by the millions to have a better life. There's a reason millions in the U.S. aren't going to other countries. I know U.S. citizens who thought it was better somewhere else and came back forthwith with hair-curling tales.

Yet, the Constitution has consistently been under attack since the early 1900s. There are those who want the protections it affords citizens to be destroyed because they want a socialist, communist, or fascist style of government.

They truly don't care which of the three styles because it all comes down to the same thing: Citizens' freedoms are gone.

Yes, there is drama around the NFL kneeling thing. And yes, it is getting column inches and airplay.

But what a great way to get attention on the multiple ways our Constitution is under attack. One of those attacks involves the rights of creatives to own and benefit from their own creations. Read more about that here.

So, good on the NFL management and all players,
sponsors and non-sponsors,
and supportive and non-supportive fans:
You are why the Constitution will remain strong.

Open Letter to Anheuser Busch, or How to fight terrorism everywhere you find it.

by Angela K. Durden
Technology inventor protecting creator's copyrights. Business writer, novelist, songwriter, and Citizen Journalist.

October 2, 2017

Dear Anheuser Busch,

I rarely drink beer and can count on one hand football games I've watched in my lifetime. Still, I called y'all Sunday and left a message. Hope you've checked your machine, though I have a feeling that the message may get lost seeing as so many folks have been calling.

Let me be very clear: everybody knows NFL players are "taking a knee" for all the wrong reasons. But their "taking a knee" is going to be good in the long run for reasons they have no clue about. For that reason, your company should not stop advertising on the NFL shows because to do so would go completely against your company's fine tradition of supporting the Constitution of the United States.

In case you have forgotten —

— that fine document is the foundation upon which millions, if not billions, of people depend. You got natural-born citizens of the U.S. You got legal immigrants here to seek opportunity and a better life. You got oppressed peoples around the world looking at the United States with hope — Hope! — and saying, "They did it. Freedom is possible."

Heck, as a company, y'all have depended on the Constitution to build your business —  and even go out of your way to hire people who fought to defend it.

Which means you owe it to your employees as well as your customers to understand the roar of the crowd calling for the heads of shortsighted NFL players. The fans know something is not right about what the players are doing. Hear them for that. But your job is to focus, focus, focus on what is actually happening and help the players to do a better job of choosing the hill on which they will die.

To bring you up to speed, read this article I wrote in support of the NFL just the other day.  You will also want to read my totally brilliant but also spot-on serious article here I wrote last year when Colin first started this thing.

Unbeknownst to themselves, Colin and the others are making a stand for what the United States is all about, the reason it was formed in the first place, and the reason we have such a strong Constitution.

You see, the Constitution guarantees freedom to think and act according to one's conscience in all things political and religious, and that economic sanctions should not be imposed by any entity in power because those stands are taken.

Way back when the kings of England ran folks out of their country to these shores and then exported their tyranny across the pond, it caused folks here to write a letter they called Declaration of Independence.

They laid out all the reasons the kings were wrong and set forth their intent. If you haven't read it, you should do so now.

But even then the 56 declarers of independence knew that most folks don't think deeply or long-term. That's why they said, and I quote —

Prudence, indeed, will dictate that Governments long established should not be changed for light and transient causes; and accordingly all experience hath shewn, that mankind are more disposed to suffer, while evils are sufferable, than to right themselves by abolishing the forms to which they are accustomed.

In other words, the writers (many of whom liked beer and, I daresay, brewed their own) understood they should not make any decision hastily. Therefore, before they declared independence, they allowed the English king to prove he was not going to change.

There is no doubt the NFL's business is being affected negatively because these guys are taking a knee for all the wrong reasons. So, as a business decision, all this is not good, as I wrote in this article. And you, as a company, will not want to pull your ads hastily. Find another way because —

Isn't it at times like this when one should act with prudence?

Taking a knee is not the problem because the real problem is what has been happening behind the scenes for over a hundred years: There is a concerted and growing effort to gut the protections of the Constitution of the United States and turn it into a country ruled by one of the Big Isms. Read what I say about that here.

NFL players who are taking a knee themselves do not know they are defending the Constitution of the United States. But they are defending it. Granted, that defense is getting buried in a mucky mess of political correctness and it is that political correctness you should be fighting because it is designed to destroy freedom.

Dear, dear, dear Anheuser Busch. You who have the hearts, ears, and eyes of millions of folks on and with you. Yes, it is you who should get that marketing agency of yours busy on a series of ads lauding the fact that the Constitution is so strong it will defend the freedoms of even those easily manipulated idiots on the field.

Get them to put together a kick-ass ad campaign that will show domestic and foreign rabble-rousers — hell, let's call them what they are, terrorists — just how much the U.S. citizen will not put up with.

I can see it now. That cute dog of yours makes a stupid decision and goes to play in the woods all alone. Doggy sees other dogs, not knowing they are big, bad, and mean. Doggy is set upon! Doggy yelps. Your horses hear their dog friend yelping "Help! Help!" Horses come galloping around the corner as a body and kick the sh*t out of the predators. Horses safely escort Doggy home. Happy ending.

See? Brilliant! Metaphor dripping everywhere.

Fans will love it. Terrorists will not, but they'll get the point.

Do your duty.

Sincerely,

Citizen Journalist.
Lover and defender of freedom.
But not a beer or football fan.

Slippery slope to the Big Isms.

by Angela K. Durden
Technology inventor protecting creator's copyrights. Business writer, novelist, songwriter, and Citizen Journalist.

Yeah. This is humorous.
But the subject is much more serious than this.
When Colin Kaepernick started his public thing last year I wrote an article in defense of his right not to be forced into public displays of patriotism. You will want to read my totally brilliant but also spot-on serious article here.

Unbeknownst to himself, Colin was making a stand for what the United States is all about, the reason it was formed in the first place, and the reason we have such a strong Constitution. Which reason was formed and defended, I might add, at great sacrifice by thousands, nay millions.
Google Search screensnip.

And while I do not have a problem with Colin or anybody else not saluting the flag, come to find out the NFL has been taking money each year from government entities to put in flag ceremonies. Government-funded fan marketing. Hmmm...

So the short-sighted owners have brought this war to their own doorsteps. Idiots? Maybe.

Like many gubment programs that seem good to start with, this one has gotten out of control.

"The Hammer" should know better
than to diss the right to protest.
Hello? Donald?
Now many players are taking a knee in protest of this and that. The whole subject even has Donald Trump spouting his opinion using cuss words and slinging Yo mama insults.

"The Hammer" should know better than that, but he might very well be using this debacle as an opportunity to deflect attention elsewhere. Everybody has their limits when under fire.

As a business decision, all this is not good, as I wrote.

But isn't that when one should stand up even more? Private companies might have a right to demand their employees do certain things that go against their religion, politics, or personal belief system. They might even have it written into their employment contracts.

But such things like that do not a free country make.

Business requiring such acquiescence backed up by threat of economic sanctions sure does sound a lot like how Hitler started getting his power.

Many folks — soldiers and civilians alike — who fought for and defended the Constitution on the battlefield and through the Court, may not truly understand that their righteously patriotic indignation against football players is misplaced.

NFL players who are taking a knee themselves do not know they are defending the Constitution of the United States.

But they are defending it.

When government entities by law or hook-or-crook, private enterprise via economic sanctions, or your preacher or your daddy or your good buddy via public humiliation, attempts to force you to prove your patriotic or religious quality, then we are on the slippery slope heading fast toward the big isms: Communism. Socialism. Fascism. And oligarchyism. (I made that last word up, but it will be a thing. You read it here first.)

The Slants: Protecting and Defending

Who knew an Asian-American rock band out of Oregon would be leading the fight to protect and defend the Constitution and Bill of Rights of the U.S. But they are. The Slants had their case heard by SCOTUS. They hoped to get a ruling in their favor on federally registered trademarks even if they offend.

They got what they wanted. SCOTUS said the government cannot censor any trademark just because somebody thinks it is offensive or gets offended by it. In fact, here is exactly what was said by Justice Samuel A. Alito Jr. as he expressed his opinion for the court:

“Speech may not be banned on the ground that it expresses ideas that offend."

The Slants and the Redskins argued separately that the 1946 federal law barring trademarks on disparaging terms violates free speech under the First Amendment. The court agreed with The Slants; and though the Redskins case was thrown out last in 2016, that ruling has opened the door for the team, themselves accused of hate speech, to be able to use their trademark as they please.

From Atlanta Journal Constitution

I applaud their fight.

Go Slants!

Go Redskins!

Now I just wonder when we'll get Chief Noc-A-Homa back to Atlanta after those self-righteous do-gooders ran him out of town and took the fun out of baseball.

After all, we finally ignored those whiners and brought back the chop.

And I bet all those liberals in the crowds at Braves games become free-speech-loving conservatives real quick when their boys are on the mound duking it out with visitors.

And therein lies the problem...

Lovable, cute, and cuddly Bernie the Socialist lets his true colors show. In this very public forum, he shows himself not to be so lovable, cute, and cuddly to Christian belief. His attack is typical of anyone who doesn't like it when the one attacked doesn't roll over, beg forgiveness, and ask to pretty please have his tummy tickled.

That is, when defense is clearly stated and stated again, Bernie interrupts his victim with "We don't have much time" and then promptly asks another question meant solely to inflame passions of any fellow Socialist who might be watching.

Well, he's got to earn those votes somehow. Hey, Vermont, did you see your boy in action here? Are you proud yet?

Writing on this unconstitutional action of Bernie "The Bern" Sanders, David French said in the National Review, "Bernie Sanders would do well to brush up on his civic education and remember that religious freedom belongs even to citizens (and nominees) he doesn’t like."

Of course, if the nominee were any other religion, I don't care which one, you name it as long as it is not Christian, Bernie would have been all grins and giggles, slobbering on himself in his haste to get that nominee confirmed.

And why would that be? Because Bernie cares deeply, so very, very deeply.

Not really. He doesn't care for anything but his own secret agenda which is he wants to rule the world. As any good Socialist wants to. And therein lies the problem.

Networked Fourth Estate: Citizen Journalists Carry the Torch

By Angela K. Durden

The Patriot Act, mass surveillance, and all that stuff coming to light these days, exists because people, citizens, allowed government too much control. How does government get that kind of control? The same way an elephant is eaten: One small bite at a time.

Hitler did not rise to power overnight. He had a plan. He showed he cared for the German people. He created jobs. Heck, he ordered the design of a mass-produced car called the VolkswagonBeetle that everybody could ride on the brand-spanking new country-wide highway system he was building.

Wasn’t Hitler simply ever so nice? He cares about us, said the German people. Jobs. Cars. New roads. Of course, what he wasn’t telling the populace was that these super-stout roads he was having built were for the sole purpose of quickly moving heavy war machines and soldiers from one place to another. And they thought it was for making their vacay trip easy. But…

Surprise! World War Two.

And if you complain, O Citizenry, we shall kill you. Your children are ours. Your businesses are ours. Your lives belong to us. Yes, Hitler and his gang of enlightened decided to rule the world according to their enlightened ways which were nothing but intolerant, narrow-minded, conformist in the extreme, partial to themselves, and unenlightened.

Hitler ended up killing himself. To get a feel for how the ending of that third reich turned out watch this video.

In the United States those bites against civil liberties and basic human rights started in earnest in the mid-60s when a concerted and concentrated effort began to gut the very foundations of this country, namely the Constitution and the Bill of Rights. Madalyn Murray O’Hair was a huge front runner of it with her assault on getting rid of all prayer in schools, though truthfully she simply saw how the wind was blowing and took advantage of it to make a name for herself.

In any case...

This gutting of the Constitution and the Bill of Rights didn't happen overnight and it continues today. You want to know why so much anti-Trump stuff is in the news? Because by daring to say he would protect and defend the Constitution and the Bill of Rights, President Trump is threatening to overturn all efforts of those who have worked hard to turn government that serves into Big "Nanny State" Government that controls by convincing each succeeding generation they are too stupid to make simple choices for their own lives.

Oh, how they are investing millions if not billions in pushing their agenda of hate.

They loved the Trump of mogul and reality TV star.

They hate the Trump that defends against their tyranny.

They love the tax-paying conservative citizenry that provides them their spending money.

They hate the “basket of deplorables” — a much larger crowd than their wildest dreams ever expected — which agree with defending the Constitution and protecting the rights granted in the Bill of Rights.

Dripping Hate

All this hate drips from newspaper headlines, magazine covers, and serious news shows on major networks owned and controlled by the enlightened but whose circulation, subscriptions, and ratings have been falling for years and they just cannot figure out why.

"See, we know best!" they and their handmaidens still crow. "You (viewer, reader, and citizen, are a mere idiot and cannot hope to understand. WE will teach your children what is best. WE will tell you when you can move. WE are the enlightened. You want to know how stupid you are, parents? WE, the progressives, will say it: You are too stupid to even tell your children how babies are made or how to avoid pregnancy."

State-Sponsored Censuring

So, the State provides teachers trained in State-approved methods to teach children in State-sponsored schools who are given State-approved materials and measured against State-approved tests designed to keep citizens in their places.

The State punishes parents who dare to question what their children are taught. The State upbraids and censures parents who dare to teach their children that the best way, the very best way, to avoid getting pregnant is to use self-control and not have sex until such time as they are ready to support a child.

“What?” says the State, shocked at the impudence of such parents. “Self-control? You’re children cannot exercise self-control because they are animals, living in their reptilian brain, and when they feel an urge — whether it to be creative and sing, or boink willy-nilly the gender of their choice — They. Must. Not. Be. Hindered. Else their precious egos take a beating and they won’t be able to reach their full potential. Oh, the horror.”

Take Hope

But it is sites such as this, and those of us like myself who also write on our own sites, who are part of a strong networked fourth estate of citizen journalists indebted to none, bound to truth, upholders of justice for all.

We know we carry weight and are making a difference because social media titans block us, ban us, shut down our accounts, or in other ways make sure nobody sees our clear messages of what the real problem is: The fight to take away freedom.

So, for those who read this blog roll, for those who share the messages they read, for those who take heart from them all, we are working our fingers as fast as we can and appreciate any comments — especially of support — you send our way.
