But How Did Trump Identify When Walking into Pageant Dressing Rooms?

by Kim D.

The outrage machine is gaining steam. Since the Trump trash talk tapes with Billy Bush were revealed last Friday, a ton of other allegations of the Republican nominee's lewd behavior are filling the Internet. One is that Trump would walk into pageant dressing rooms, catching the beauty queens half-dressed.

A former Miss Arizona, Tasha Dixon, who competed in the 2001 Miss USA contest, reveals Trump would enter contestant dressing rooms while some girls were "half naked":
“Our first introduction to him was when we were at the dress rehearsal and half naked changing into our bikinis,” Dixon said in an interview with KCAL 9. “He just came strolling right in. There was no second to put a robe on or any sort of clothing or anything. Some girls were topless. Other girls were naked.”
BuzzFeed reports that five teen beauty queens have come forward making similar accusations:
I remember putting on my dress really quick because I was like, ‘Oh my god, there’s a man in here,’” said Mariah Billado, the former Miss Vermont Teen USA.
Trump, she recalled, said something like, “Don’t worry, ladies, I’ve seen it all before.”
To a majority of women, this behavior is shocking and disgusting but let's be consistent here. Has anyone thought to ask how Trump self identified at the time of his transgressions? Most would agree that Trump exudes masculinity and may find this question ridiculous, but we as women have been told that we should allow men into our personal, private spaces if they "feel" as if they belong there.

Women cannot be told shut up and deal with it if a man identifies as a woman on a particular day and decides to use the ladies' room and then be told to grab the pitchforks when it is reported that Donald Trump entered female safe spaces. The logic is inconsistent.

So, dear Progressives, please choose.  If it's not okay for Donald Trump to enter pageant dressing rooms, then you need to correct your bathroom positions. If not, drop the pretense that this October surprise is relevant.

  1. "Progressives" and "Democrats" make their own rules. Woe to anyone outside the party that transgresses.
