Thanks, Woody, for fueling that outrage. How dare men suit up for Halloween by dressing up as a tranny! Dressing up as something you are not is reserved only for the confused who like to hang out in Target dressing rooms, right? Or for those who love to suck the fun out of EVERYTHING!Just when you think society is evolving on #LGBT issues. I can't even with how wrong this is. #TrannyGranny? Really? #WTF #HalloweenFail pic.twitter.com/BMKv0cGVn4— Woody Schultz (@UGottaWoody) October 5, 2016
All kidding aside, Walmart and Amazon have pulled this "offensive" costume from their websites:
The outfit, called a "Tranny Granny" sparked outrage online with many saying it is offensive to the transgender community.
The costume includes a dress, headscarf and padding for the breasts and rear-end. The costume was reportedly listed by a third-party vendor named Rasta Imposta.
According to the news site LGBT Nation, Walmart says the costume violates its terms of service for third-party retailers. The costume however is still available from other online retailers.Thank goodness not everyone has caved to the outraged - Wholesale Halloween Costumes has the Tranny Granny in stock for $29 for those in a triggering mood. Spirit even has a kiddie version for Junior.
